The Brands We Trust

Pruning
For the critical season after harvest, pruning is an art form, critical to preparing the vines for Winter and setting them up for success in the Spring. Loppers, pruners, and shears - we have your team covered. Regardless of technique, work duration or hand shape, the one-hand pruning shears satisfy all requirements with a model to suit every customer. Two-handed lopping shears are the ideal tool for cutting difficult-to-reach or larger branches. Pull-stroke pruning saws guarantee rapid, clean, and precise large-diameter cutting. The blade teeth boast exceptional strength and durability thanks to the additional impulse treatment.
Erosion Control
Used during the short period between Harvest and Winter to protect the nutrient-rich soil from washing away. Commonly used products include bales of straw, jute netting, wattle, and silt fencing.
Hand Tying Products
Ties used in early Spring direct the vines for ideal growth and maximum harvest through the Summer. Tape colors are green, white, clear and brown. No tools are required - you pull what's needed from the roll.
Fermentation & Filters
St. Helena Only. Popular chemicals for the winemaking process. Fermentation products like nutrients or yeast to convert sugar to alcohol to give them better flavors. Filtration products offer reliable and predictable results. We offer a core assortment of yeast, yeast food, anti-microbials, enzyme/process-aids, and filters to help local St Helena winemakers in a pinch.
Frost Protection
A small but essential set of tools for protecting the crops during the Winter. Frost/freeze damage can cause severe crop losses. The most severe damage usually occurs when a freeze or frost takes place after buds and blossoms have begun to open. A severe freeze can also damage fruit which is already set, damage foliage, and can even kill limbs or entire plants. Overhead sprinkler irrigation is often used to minimize the effects of freezing temperatures.
Spray Equipment
Backpack sprayers are used by vineyards to spray nutrients and chemicals to grow their crops. Sprayers are equipped with an adjustable, flat spray, hollow cone, and jet stream nozzle to accommodate virtually every spraying need. Built-in strainers, screens, and filters help keep debris out of nozzles. Pressure can be regulated to 15, 30, 45, or 60 psi by means of a built-in pressure regulating valve. Unbreakable wands prevent damage common to brass and brittle plastic wands. Seals, gaskets, and O-rings provide excellent chemical resistance and durability.
Harvest Bins
Exclusive authorized distributor of Macro Plastics in Northern California (San Francisco and Lodi, to the Oregon border). Harvest bins are essential for collecting grapes from the vineyard and transporting them to the winery for crush. Specifically designed to increase efficiency and reduce waste for growers and packers, these heavy-duty containers withstand the daily pounding that harvesting containers receive, while carefully protecting the grapes stored inside. MacroBins are premium, injection-molded plastic bins, made with FDA-approved materials. The high-tech manufacturing process makes each bin exceptionally durable and long-lasting. MacroBins provide superior sanitation and ventilation and weigh up to 40% less than wood bins.
Shade Trailers
Shade trailers provide a comfortable place to rest, drink water and get plenty of protection from the sun during hot summer days for up to 12 people! California’s Heat Illness Prevention Standards state that when the outdoor temperature in the work area exceeds 80 degrees Fahrenheit, employers shall have and maintain one or more areas with shade at all times while employees are present that are either open to the air or provided with ventilation or cooling.
